Home Set Day Off or Home Schedule Page

The Set Day Off or Home Schedule page guides you through setting your day off schedule. This schedule is for the days of the week when you are not working and therefore might need an alternate schedule for heating or cooling your home. It is a basic schedule to help get you started. You will be able to change it and build upon it as needed later. For more information on schedule strategies that you may want to consider before setting a schedule, refer to the topic Overview of Thermostats.

Note: On this page you simply set the times and temperatures for a schedule to use on days that you identify as being home. You will select the actual days of the week (such as Saturday or Sunday) that you identify as the weekend later in the wizard process.

To set your day off/home schedule:

  1. In the schedule panel, notice the #1 slider control with a corresponding time and temperature. This is the first target setting for each weekend day and reflects the temperature that you want to set for the corresponding time of day. For example, this might be when you wake up in the morning.
  2. Drag the #1 slider control to the time that you want to activate the selected temperature. Alternatively, you can click the #1 slider control to select it, and then type the time in the Time box above the schedule panel.
  3. In the temperature box for the slider control, use the arrows to specify the temperature you want to set for the corresponding time. Alternatively, you can click the slider control to select it, and then type the temperature in the Setting box above the schedule panel.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the #2 slider control. The #2 target might be when you go to bed at the end of the day.
  5. Optionally, you can add additional targets to change the temperature setting at additional times during the day. To do so, click the + button for Add Target above the schedule panel. When the new target appears, repeat steps 2 and 3 for the new target.

To remove a target setting:

  1. Click to select the slider control for the target setting you want to remove.
  2. Click the - button for Remove Target above the schedule panel.
