Home Home Thermostat Page

The Home Thermostat page helps you manage your home's indoor temperature. You can set the temperature manually, or you can create a schedule to automatically adjust the temperature based on day and time.

For more information on thermostat schedules and for strategies when scheduling multiple rooms or zones (for homes with multiple thermostats), refer to the topic Overview of Thermostats.

To manually change your home's temperature:

The Home Thermostat page functions in a similar manner as your home's thermostat device:

  1. Select the heating or cooling mode you want to control by clicking the icon at the top of the Controls panel.
  2. If you have more than one thermostat in your home, select the one you want to control in the home/room selection box (above the indoor target temperature). Select Home to set the temperature for the entire home.
  3. Click the up and down arrows next to the Target box until the value in the box is the temperature you want for your home.

To override a schedule that is currently active:

The thermostat schedule runs automatically, based on the selections you make on the Thermostat Schedule page. However, you can override this schedule as needed by selecting a specific schedule to run:

  1. In the Schedule box (below the temperature display), select the schedule you want to run. The Schedule box contains the list of default schedules, as well as any custom schedules you have created. If there are no schedules, then the thermostat also cannot run the Automatic schedule. In this case only, the list will contain the option Manual.
  2. In the Override box (next to the Schedule box), set the duration of the override by selecting one of the following options:
    • Today: Use the selected override schedule for the rest of today (the automatic schedule resumes tomorrow).
    • Tomorrow: Use the selected override schedule for tomorrow (the automatic schedule resumes the day after tomorrow).
    • Continuous: Use the selected override schedule until you manually change it to another schedule.
    • Custom: Open the Thermostat Override page, where you can specify a custom date range to use the selected override schedule (the automatic schedule resumes at the end of the specified date range).
  3. You can cancel the override at any time and resume your automatic schedule by selecting Automatic in the Schedule box.

To set a schedule for automatically controlling your home's temperature:

  1. Click the Schedule button.
  2. The Thermostat Schedule page opens, allowing you to set your schedule preferences. The first time you access the thermostat schedule, a wizard walks you through setting up your schedule.
