Home Heat Pump Device Page

The device page for your heat pump provides tools for setting up and managing your heat pump. The page shows you the current temperature in your home, your heat pump’s current operation mode, and how much energy your heat pump has recently used. You can also turn off your heat pump optimization during times that you want to ensure your home remains particularly comfortable (for example, on extremely cold days or when you are hosting an event).

To explore heat pump operation information:

  1. The heat pump indicator shows how much energy your heat pump is currently using.
  2. The Status indicator shows you whether or not you heat pump is on.
  3. The Heat Pump section shows you the following information:
    • Operation Mode shows your heat pump's optimization mode.
    • Scheduled Controls shows the heat pump's next scheduled optimization.
    • Indoor temperature shows your home's current temperature.

To turn off your scheduled optimization for your heat pump:

  1. Click the Override Schedule button.
  2. When the Override Heat Pump Optimization page opens, specify the number of hours you want to delay the next scheduled heat pump optimization.

To edit your heat pump settings:

  1. Select or clear the check box to specify whether or not you want you want to optimize energy use and have your heat pump optimized according to when price and/or emissions are the lowest.
  2. Select or clear the check box to specify whether or not you want to allow grid balancing requests to affect your heat pump optimization schedule, relieving excessive loads on the grid.
  3. Select your energy use priority in the Prioritize field. You can choose to prioritize by lowest cost, energy use, or both equally.
  4. Select the profile to use for how much flexibility you will allow the system for optimization. You can choose low profile (the least flexibility), medium profile, or high profile (the most flexibility).
  5. Specify the interrupt optimization temperature, at which point optimization is automatically disabled to ensure your home remains at a comfortable temperature.
  6. When you are finished editing your settings, click the Save button.
